Snout & Paws: luxury fashion for dogs

Thursday 30 May 2013

New luxury British pet brand Snout & Paws was founded by Andrey Savin in October last year, after he became frustrated by the lack of fashion-led clothing available for his dog, Fanta - the small dachshund who now models all of the brand's collections.

Savin has a background in high-end womenswear and sources materials from around the world for the brand's products. These include leather and fur from Italy, wool and tweed from the UK, and limited edition fabrics from India.

All products are made in-house at Snouts & Paws' London studio, and the brand currently ships and markets its collections to the UK, Germany, France, Monaco, Russia, Japan and the USA.

Savin believes that the pet lifestyle market will continue to flourish: "Today more people take better care of their dogs and the market for luxury dogwear is growing. The same evolution happened with the childrenswear market a few years ago, with parents starting to spend on fashion pieces for their little ones."

The brand's website is styled to resemble a fashion atelier, with sections devoted to Bespoke, Limited Edition and Boutique lines. Prices range from £79 for a t-shirt (pictured here) to £329 for a fur-trimmed leather parka.
